About Art Explora

First created in 2019, Art Explora is an international foundation. That aims to inspire new encounters between artwork and audiences. The company was created in France by its founder Frédéric Jousset.

Art Explora is not just about sharing artwork. But they believe that all art should be accessible. They are always looking for new ones to display art in new forms through mobile programs and digital technologies.

Art Explora has grown since it first opened and has expanded to the UK. In the UK, Art Explora runs a mobile museum that tours the country. The mobile museum shares artwork with schools, towns, and even remote locations.

What Was The Security Risk?

Museums often house valuable historic items and expensive pieces of artwork. So, they are an easy target for criminals. All museums will install good security protection such as guards, security alarms and CCTV cameras.

But when it comes to galleries which are on the move. There is an additional vulnerability in their security. Mobile museums are an easy target for criminals since they aren’t always placed in one area. Thieves will attempt to attack the gallery when it’s being transported from city to city.

Art Explora’s mobile museum contains many pieces of artwork from the Tate’s national collection. So, they were looking for additional security protection, whilst the gallery was on the move. Art Explora reached out to us. And we quickly sent them a tailored security solution that suited their needs.

How Did We Help Them?

We started protecting Art Explora in February 2024. The security cover we supply them with is SIA-licensed security guards who follow the gallery whilst it tours the UK.

Our guards protect the museum’s vehicle and valuable artwork. Our officers follow the gallery whilst it is travelling to different locations. They travel closely so that no criminals attempt to break in.

When the museum is situated, our security personnel oversee access points. They do this to ensure no unauthorised visitors try to enter. Our guards conduct regular patrols around the museum, review everyone who enters or exits the premises, and use CCTV equipment to monitor blind spots within the museum.
