Maritime Transport began its business journey back in 2001. They started with only 136 vehicles and 5 depots. But now, they have over 1,600 vehicles and 41 depots.

What Was The Security Risk?
This case study is a great example of our gatehouse security services.
When transporting goods, there are many security risks. The biggest being criminals. Thieves tend to target transit vehicles whilst they are being stored. They do this in hopes of stealing valuable goods.
As well as theft, another security risk that many logistics businesses face is unauthorised access. Most criminals tend to break into sites at night, some try to sneak in whilst the vehicles are being checked in. Unauthorised entry often leads to other risks. Such as stolen goods, vandalismed equipment and damage to storage facilities.
Maritime Transport had some troubles with unauthorised visitors on their site. And they reached out to us when they became unhappy with their previous security supplier. When Maritime got in touch, we quickly provided them with a tailored security solution.
How Did We Help Them?
We started protecting Maritime Transport in February last year. When a previous supplier had let them down.
We supply Maritime Transport with a team of security guards that provide 24/7 security coverage. Our guards are not only an excellent deterrent to criminals, but they also supply Maritime with a safer working environment.
One of the main tasks our guards have is monitoring access points. Our officers will review vehicles as they enter or leave the site. Our guards conduct efficient security ID checks. They do this to make sure that the trucks which are entering have valid reasons to be there. They also check that no unauthorised visitors are trying to enter the premises.
At the moment, we only protect one site owned by Maritime Transport. But hopefully, soon we will be taking over weekend security cover at a second site.
